I'm down for Maximum Overdrive, Langoliers, Sleepwalkers, or Silver Bullet. Stuff they do based on his work for TV, its rare when I like the stuff, I mean the Dead Zone tv show... bored the hell out of me and Hall was no Johnnny, only Walken was able to sell that character, and no one will ever sell Johnny as well. Very cool. Yeah, I'd like to see all of those again myself.
I will look for "Maximum Overdrive", and "Silver Bullet" again, but I am sure there aren't any of those full length free movies available on youtube.
"The Dead Zone"?....I think, I've searched for that one too, but maybe not, I'll look again.
I KNOW "Sleepwalkers" is unavailable. Same thing with "Salem's Lot".
Unfortunately, a lot of the flicks are scattered around on 10 to 40 videos, and many of them have missing parts. (Example: "Salems Lot") So I'm pretty much ignoring those.
(TV series episodes, like "Kingdom Hospital, "Nightmares and Dreamscapes" and "The Night Stalker" will be a completely different animal.)
Hey! "Maximum Overdrive" reminds me of the serious non-campy version "Trucks" I'll look for that one too!
Thanks Dev! π

Damn!!! So much better than I had any right to expect. I'm pretty impressed. I watched the 3-parter on youtube. Really very well directed, very nicely shot. The cast was exceptional. These were, for all practical purposes, the people from "The Reach". The Reach was even briefly mentioned. Colm Feore as Andre Linoge was working way above his pay grade! I looked, and noticed that this incredible performance is barely mentioned in his wikipedia page. That's how good he is. The thing about Roanoke Island was a nice touch. Except in reality the Roanoke group, facing starvation, threw in with one of the less hostile Native American tribes! DNA testing proved it. Linoge was giving me a Randall Flagg vibe. Except Linoge could have kicked Randall Flagg's a§§ all day long!
Tim Daly was .... serviceable. Not Brando-ing it. No showing off. Sort of like Keanu Reeves on valium, with a short haircut. And like Keanu Reeves in Bram Stoker's Dracula, his accent was terrible. Man. They needed an actor with ... balls. Gary Sinise. Michael Moriarty (from Salem's Lot 2 -- next movie night?!!) Lance friggin Henriksen?!! Sh-t! I'd have stuck Adam West in there! And now you look scared.
Another breath taking review from our Grinning Wills!
I agree with you on just about all of the above! Thank you for THAT.
"The Reach"...searching memory banks Grin Will Robinson! Tell me more, please sir. I'm going to have look around about that one! ....sounds awfully familiar.
And please check out my last post to Deviancy above on this page.π There's a lot of my updates on "Salem's Lot" and other SK flicks and stuff.
Thank you again, Grin! π
Get back to everyone here on MORE, and another 'invite' to our merry band of "Movie of the Week Watchers". π

Okay, I did some rummaging around while on a break. Sorry Deviancy , came up with nothing for the movies we talked about in earlier posts today. And @woowoo001 , sorry but I came up nothing for "The Reach".
But the good news is that I have found...
"1408" with Cusak and Sammy J! π I'm going to (edit and) add that one to our SK List, that is above on this page.
And Dev has said that "The Langoliers" are acceptable and is open to that one! I am too. So there's our two votes for that item on our SK List.
(NOTE: I have thoroughly scoped out "The Langoliers", and the one I have selected is a 2 part feature. A good one done in 2 vids. If and when this flick gets picked I'll post both at once. Smooth easy transition from one to the next. This will be good practice/future reference for when ever we might start to watch TV series epicsodes. π...I'm thinkin' 2 episodes in one sitting/day will be okay...a fair rule of thumb for now. Can't have Frank's butt getting too numb on us, lol. ππ
Anyone want to suggest or bring anything else, to go up against "The Langoliers" Bring it by/on Wednesday, our flick pick day, and we will start voting for our 'movie of the week'. π And we WILL have it all sorted out, and scheduled, by Pay Day Friday afternoon/evening. π
(By the way...YOU tech-savvy movie buffs be thinkin' about other places/sites, where can see flicks via links and whatnot. YOU know who y'all are.π€¨ I'm just sticking with I got time to work with, and what I know. ππ)
Query: Does ANYONE here know anything about the movie "Howl"? I stumbled across the full movie, when searching for "Silver Bullet". "Howl" didn't look too bad. To Me. But I had to move on, and couldn't spend too much time on it.
Hollerin' up our currently confirmed team members to check out these updates, and getting to the new invites! π
osnafrank @woowoo001 docpain2 Deviancy Dizzy
I would like to invite GeorgieFan2003 and darkharbinger to consider dropping by and checking out this thread/activity.π
JB and Georgie! It would be really great if either or both of you guys, would like come hang with us here. If you would like to and have time!
Details of what goes on here, are on the first couple of pages of this thread! BUT I am always around here and happy to answer any questions you guys might have. π
Please! πβ€

I Will Watch The Langoliers With Y'all wolf Just LMK When Sis Got it lil Sis! Thank you for your input, Diz! π
Alright Movie Watchers! We have 3 votes for "The Langoliers" already, and it ain't even 'WedNezday Flick Pick Day'!
We'll still wait and let everyone else have a chance to pipe up and chime in!
We're ahead of schedule and have time on our side, like Mick and the Boys have always liked to say. ππ
Dizzy, after we know for sure, that we have a movie everyone agrees upon, we'll set the viewing time.
And the movie scheduling will be done and finished by Friday afternoon/evening. I will tag you and let you know lil Sis Dizzy .π
(That time is usually a Satyrday starting at 12:00 high noon E-Time to 1:30 E-Time. Ending time depends on the length of the flick. I do believe "The Langoliers" is over 2 hours long, but lesss than 3 hours.π)

How do we watch movies together? Sorry I'm unfamiliar with anything like that. Hi Georgie!
What we have been doing is picking and voting on movies. When we get that done, we all agree on a time to all watch it at the same time.
I always post the "Free Full Length Youtube Movie" on the day we choose right here in this thread. Usually about 10 minutes or so, before "Showtime".
You can watch it on one open tab on a computer, and comment during the film in another open tab.
Or, I think, you can do the same on a phone too. Whatever works for you. π
I'm lucky I guess, I have an LG Smart TV that has internet access, so I can watch on that and have my laptop open and post.
We start to seriously decide on what movie beginning on Wednesday's each week, and have the movie picked out and SCHEDULED by Friday afternoon/evening.
There's more details/updates and the movie lists on these last 2 pages of this thread.
I hope that helps you out Georgie! (you too JB darkharbinger , if you were wondering about it too. ) If you need any more info or further clarifications, just shout out and I will get back to you ASAP.
It's so nice to see you here Georgie! π
You guys can drop in and drop out of these events, anytime you want to. And comment as little or much as you like. You're always welcome.π
You can always watch the movie all on your own and come give us a review too! That's how Grinny @woowoo001 has been treating us with juicy tidbit's of what he thinks about the flicks!π

A suggestion is Mozilla Firefox with add ons U Block Origin and Ad Block Plus, (Firefox's ad blocking is far superior to Chrome's) any movie watching site I've come across no matter how ad-ware-y gets handled. Sometimes that moz extension warning page will appear but you just arrow back. That's if you want to go this route. YouTube isn't questionable for the most part as far as the content that gets streamed, in terms of permissions to do so, but there you go...... but then, when I'm on YouTube I watch those add ons rack up into the thousands, so I have no idea how much in the terms of adware is on YouTube, but its waaay way more than those other sites, don't know if you'd call that ironic or not.....

GeorgieFan2003 If you have a streaming service you can find some of these on, you just start at the same time as everybody else, when we coordinate our time pieces.....
wolf sorry, a lot of trial and error is involved in figuring these things out, then I forget that there were relatively frustrating moments along the way when I'd have to give up and come back to a technical problem the next day, or the day after that......

How do we watch movies together? Sorry I'm unfamiliar with anything like that. Georgetown, with an Amazon firestick you can watch youtube movies on yer tv, and with certain downloadable aps you can watch almost any movie ever made. All you need is internet access. It's really all I use anymore. I watched "IT" Until I got so incredibly bored ....
Anyway, what? No love for 'Return to Salem's Lot'?
