I haven't watched "The Night Flyer" yet.---- Well, you have now! 😜 😄
Tommyknockers is pretty bad, the acting was just  -------- I knooow! But consider this, it WAS a 'made for tv' 2 night primetime event on ABC (if I am recalling all correctly). There was A LOT left out and it is NOT one of the best King film adaptions, just like "The Stand" wasn't, and was so much of a Tv 'Reader's Digest Condensed' style thing. But it did have some good things about it. At least I think so. And it is better than NO movie at all. 😄...... I would really love to see a good big screen adaption of this story some day. 😊
Lol, silly funny 'fun fact' about this film? (I'm sure our @woowoo001 knows about THIS😂😉) .....
The 'Post Mistress'?...The actress who played her part?
Lol, I did not know this when the movie was being advertised but I happed to see one of things like 'Inside Edition' or 'Entertainment Tonight' (TV news magazines/tabloid tv as I call it)...That actress is 'Traci Lords' a p**n star, and her role in "The Tommy Knockers", was her first attempt to get into mainstream acting. 😆 ....Jimmy Smitts wasn't the vision of Gard I had in my mind while reading the book, but I liked the job he did. Marg Helgenberger too. And I have always loved great E.G. Marshal. Remember him in in "Creep Show" too?....oh man! I got to look that campy thing up for sure! ...as fascinating as ...."😃.... A Neuralizer! " 😃 😆😉

I ended up going in to restock narcotics in one of the ambulances and while I was there a call for a pediatric cardiac arrest came out so I went in to assist.
However, the night flyer is still a great movie, but I'd live to see it redone with a bit more finesse.

The Night Flier was really good, thoroughly enjoyed that.
the only thing about the fx that i thought sucked was Dwight's monster makeup/costume, shoulda been more clear on that Commander osnafrank 🙂 See you guys soon! |
