Ohhh Deviancy Thank You For The Info/Help. How Many Years Ago was 401 A.D? 1620 years ago, but the first film took place in the early 2000's and not 2021, so the first film takes place around 1600 years after Alexander was mutated into an immortal. wolf I borrowed my dads Ipad, was fine for basic internet usage but forum usage, its a different beast than social media where most just type one liners. Lol, yeah it is. I hear ya bud. What's REALLY fun!? 🤣 ...try posting with an LG Smarta$$ Tv basic remote! 😆
Lol, I did that for a LONG time, before I got the tablet, and then was fortunate enough to get the laptop.
Thanks for all the really interesting clarifications and details on the Underworld back story too. Enjoying it. 🙂

Ohh Wow that is Such a Long Life Deviancy Thanks for Telling me. Just Think of all the Stuff those Guys Probably Seen in there Lifes. Watched Rise Of The Lycans today to refresh my memory, not sure if they did see a lot, they seemed to be rather isolated from the rest of the world. And if you re-watch the ones that take place in the modern era, they don't have televisions, so they must prefer to be not know everything going on to some degree. Interesting story, and it never says if they're allowed to turn others, I mean Viktor did so but it seemed to be looked down upon, but they let it slide because of the daughter thing. So I dunno. They need to do one more film to reveal more and end the story a little better than Blood Wars seemed to try to.

Ohh Wow that is Such a Long Life Deviancy Thanks for Telling me. Just Think of all the Stuff those Guys Probably Seen in there Lifes. I re-watched Rise Of The Lycans and I have to totally side with Viktor in that story. I lost track at how many times he warned her about the rules and how she was going to bring them down if she kept it up, and then to find out she broke the ultimate rule, she broke his heart and put him at great, great risk. He really had no choice but here's the funny thing, why did they fear the hybrid thing so much? Viktor had Michael beaten, it was Selene who saved Michael, and then Michael got killed by a basic werewolf down the line, so if Viktor could take one out as easily as he did, why did they fear what was within Sonya so much? Bigotry? Possibly. I mean they did keep Lucien's form of werewolf as slaves, because well, they were beneath the vampires. So yeah, the writers were playing with metaphors with the whole hybrid thing and the way the vampires treated the evolved form of werewolves. In the end, Underworld is one of the better vampire film franchises, I still prefer 30 Days Of Night but they dropped the ball with the comic, they did the film fine, but the second they lost all the good actors and made a crappy direct to video film. Too bad, if they had kept Hartnett and whoever played his wife, and followed the comic like they did in the first film, that could have been a very successful film franchise, but they got lazy, and they weren't happy that it wasn't a huge box office hit. Hollywood needs to grow some integrity, sometimes good films don'd do that well while trash does. Not ever film has to make 2-3x the amount it cost to make to be a success, but money talks and integrity walks.

I loved Viktor. Michael had ten times his strength, but he just went on him. And he loved his adopted daughter beyond measure. The man was a sweetie!

I loved Viktor. Michael had ten times his strength, but he just went on him. Viktor had centuries to evolve and grow stronger and become a top tier fighter, so Michael was the underdog from the minute the fight started, and it didn't take Viktor long to have him beat. But watch the first film again, while Lucien is dying, he calls Lucien his cousin. He's right, curse wise, they'd be cousins since William and Markus were brothers and spread their curses to others, so by curse Lucien and Kraven would be cousin like. But how did Lucien know so much, William is locked away centuries before they find Lucien, and who would have been dumb enough to tell Lucien about William and that he he was sealed away? He was a slave, he wasn't privy to that information, so someone told him, probably Kraven.

Or Andreas Could Have Told Him& It was Andreas, totally forgot about him. He was the historian, he knew everything, and he knew about affair and demanded Sonya's seat at the council to remain silent, that was all he cared about. Also remember, he was prepared to save Viktor at the end because he'd need Viktor to become a member of the council. But Viktor was smarter than hin and realized he was a threat and exiled him, which lead to him going to Luvien and selling the UV ammo he created to the lycans. When he went to Lucien after being exiled, that was probably when he told Lucien about how William was locked away. As for Kraven knowing about what Viktor did to Selene's family, he was there when it happened, he was one of Viktor's top soldiers in the war against the werewolves, which is why they believed him when he said he slayed Lucien, I mean he'd been killing werewolves for eons, so taking Lucien out, it was believable. Viktor didn't have good allies, Kraven was a pos, Andreas was a snake, and Markus wanted to free his brother, who would have just spread the curse more leading to the vamps extinction. But Markus did give him the power of immortality, so he couldn't hate the guy too much, but notice how while Markus was his sire, he kind of owned Markus, which was odd. I think it was because Viktor had the money and Markus liked living well off..

Yea Good Points Deviancy Plus Viktor was the One with the Armies an Power Really Markus was Behind the Scenes Kinda & Amelia just went Along with whatever Viktor Did. Markus Told Viktor he cant be Killed because then All Vampires would die then but who Knows if that was actually True he Might Be Saying that to Protect Him Self. So they both were just kinda Passive Aggressivley Under Mining each other sometimes lol. that's the Vibes iwas Getting.

Markus either was under the impression they would or was bluffing because Selene proved he was wrong when she killed him and vampires continued to exist and sire new vampires. In Anne Rice's vampire franchise however, if a vampire kills their sire, while it doesn't result in the death of all vampires and the vampire who killed his sire doesn't automatically die, the elders will track him or her down and put them to death, like they did to Claudia when they thought she had killed Lestat, even though it turned out he still existed but was in hiding.
I keep saying kill or die, vampires are the undead, the undead can't die or be killed since they're not technically alive.
Still curious if we'll get a sequel.
Wouldn't mind one more RE film where they show the world getting back to normal but with still a few threats to be dealt with, and a spin off of Underworld with Selene's daughter.

Looks like Snoop may be wrong, and I can't say I'm totally let down by what I just read. Wiseman wanted to do a 6th film but the studio isn't interested. Two reasons. 1. Blood Wars only pulled in 30 million, that's half of what Awakenkings and Evolution made, so its obvious the popularity isn't there anymore. 2. Kate refuses to ever play Selene again, but she does say she wishes they could have done a crossover with Blade years back, and that means I'm not the only one who wanted that. So the studio has put Wiseman on ice when it comes to a sequel due to those two things. Oh well... Blood Wars was a decent finale I guess.. Box office numbers are going to become obsolete sooner rather than later anyways, people got spoiled during the pandemic, they want their movies at home, like the new Snake Eyes film and Cruella. So things are going to change when it comes to how studios earn the big money, not sure what kind of impact it will have.
