I missed this somehow...You're adorable and just like I pictured you! You're also brave. Birds are nice from a distance, but when they get too close, they freak me out sometimes.

You're a few years older than me, but close enough for me to say that I think we lucked out by getting to grow up when we did.

This is cool. Was the house actually that light shade of pink or did the picture get that tint from age? Just wondering because I have pictures of my own dad in front of a light pink house like that. Maybe it was a popular shade at the time.."little pink houses" and all that.

This photo is earlier than the one of me above so this could have been a house mom and dad lived in before I was old enough to remember or someone else's house. When my mom and dad first got married they lived in a small house that my grandmother owned (a second house of hers not the one she lived in) and that may be it but I don't remember it.
I'm trying to find some of The Kennedy Space Center to show Frank (before it was Cape Canaveral).

Nice. I've only been to Florida once--to visit a cousin in Fort Lauderdale. It was in the early 2000's sometime...maybe 2004 or so? But I couldn't believe how much it looked like Phoenix! I went with another cousin and the two of us were cracking up when the plane landed because it looked like we made a complete circle and ended up right back home. The palm trees, architecture, stores, restaurants (everything but the beaches of course!) looked like Phoenix.

So here is one from 2013 - I'm looking a bit plump (even back then!) - I think I slimmed down by 2014 but then recently gained weight back.
It's coming off - slowly but surely!
This was when my older son Sean got married on the Yucatan Peninsula at a resort called Ocean Coral & Turquesa

Awww look at you. You're beautiful...And brave. Holding a vulture...whaaa?!? I could never do that, seriously. I watch birds from a distance, in the safety of my own back yard, and still get freaked out.

I asked my dad about the photo with the fish and he said the house was pink. It was the small house that him and my mother lived in when they first got married. That photo was before I was born. I love the mysteries these old photos have. Here's one I found of me that is a mystery to me.
I'm at a pool on the ocean. When my parents took us on vacation, we did those long driving trips just like the movie vacation . So, they were expensive with lots of hotel stays, restaurants, attraction, etc. My parents never would have sprung for a hotel on the beach, we would have stayed at a less expensive hotel inland. I could ride to the beach on my bike at home, so they wouldn't have paid to stay on the beach. So where the hell am I? I never remember staying at a beach hotel as a kid.
