We had to make a very had decision to have Otis put to rest.On April 13th ,2021. Otis was a Jack Russell Boxer mix.
Our Dearest Otis you are so missed by us. know that each day you are gone you are not loved any less.
When we told Mikey it was time. All he is said is I need to save my money to buy a suit for the funeral. So many things I will miss about your.
Yes even the things I complained about. the forever ending Dog hair, and the chewing up everything wood.
When I get up each morning it is hard when i reach the bottom of the steps and you are not there to greet me.
Never realized how many treats I gave you. Your memory will live on forever in my heart.

We got our dog for our sons fourth birthday.He wanted one. I was on Craigslist looking at animals. Just always look at them. Anyhow my son kept pointing and saying doggie. So we took him to look at them. He picked one out and called him Otis.Our son is speech delayed and to this point never spoke a sentence. We had the puppy two days and discovered he was deathly sick. We took him to the vet. Found out he had parvo and the vet did not think he could save him. But we had to try,so for the next couple of days my hubby gave the puppy an IV every four hours.Night and day. The puppy only got sicker and we called the vet and he told us to bring him in and we should put him down.So we think we are prepared to put him to sleep. We are getting ready to leave the vet and we tell our son to say good bye to Otis. Our son looks at the puppy and says Good bye I love you Otis. Omg my hubby and I in shock. Say to the vet please try to save him at whatever cost. I am crying both happy and sad.At the tune of just over a thousand dollars ,we have a happy healthy puppy and son.

We belonged to our summer reading program at our local library.They did several things dealing with reading.
They did a photo contest of your Pet reading. Otis won the prize for this contest.
We put Otis at the dining room table with an old copy of It and slide him up to the table,Next to him we sat my first attempt at Pennywise without any pattern.
Anyhow real brite as I put Peanutbutter on the edge of the table to keep his focus. LOL He really enjoyed that.

Otis was very protective.You would had thought he had some training. I am diabetic and he often
alerted when my sugar level was low. One time my level was very low and had it not been Otis,I would not
be around today. My husband called from work to check on me,as he does every day. I answered the phone
and dropped it. Otis kept whining and barking,so hubby came home as he knew something was wrong.
When hubby got here I was totally out ,good thing Otis jumped his gate and came upstairs to me. Apparently he kept licking my face. Surely that wasn't pleasant.
For whatever reason he knew when my sugar was low.

Another time,someone tried to come in our slider and set the house alarm off.Otis jumped into the kitchen chair and sat there staring away.
We called the police and of course Otis went crazy barking when they arrived. They told us we had all the protection we needed.

I'm Very Sorry About Otis! R.I.P To a Great Puppy.
It is Just So Sad That Doggies Dont Live Longer Like People do.
I Think That Old Saying is True tho that All Dogs Do go to Heaven no Matter What.
Poor Baby Otis though this is Tragic.

We actually learnt how much we could do and how we could feel better by donating things for other dogs.
Found out our vet actually has a donation box and the meds are given to those so can't afford them.
Because I could not watch Otis in pain. I choose to have him put down and we had just bought his meds .Could not see letting them go to waste. Adventually we will get a rescue dog and invest in afew new things.
Otis beds and food went to a friend whos baby had puppies and she she could part with them.LOL she now has 6 Dashhound mix. Thank-you you
guys for the incouraging words.
