Besides, RE had more monsters that weren't traditional zombies since the first game... hunters, tyrants, Golgotha mutants, Lickers, Bandersnatches, Las Plagas. Actual Night of the Living Dead type zombies were more so just the vanilla enemy. RE is closer to 28 Days than a Romero film, 28 Days is a virus that kills off the human side of the brain but leaves them open to be trained to do things like dogs, and the lickers, Mr. X, and Nemesis were the dog variant, the random strays floating around in RE 2 were just Romero zombies, just a side dish really. My point, RE is just more complex than your basic Romero film but Left 4 Dead and even State Of Decay also play the same card, there's the tradition zombies, and the big mutated brute zombies, and the ones that still have some mental capacity and can control the others. One of the deadliest enemies in State Of Decay are the Nemesis like zombies, they're just HUGE and can smash cars but they're still mindless and there's no Umbrella to keep them in line, so they're actually deadlier because they have zero restraints. I dunno, still curious to see where the franchise goes, but I'm more curious to see if they do a new film. I like Milla and while she's cool in the new Hellboy film, I want to see her as Alice again, at least one more time. Funny thing though, most love her because of 5th Element, I personally can't stand that film, I didn't start liking her until her films after that one I think what hurt the film in my eyes was she was this cute young thing, and they hook her up with an old man, it just came off kinda sexist, should have been a younger male lead, imo. I also don't care much for Bruce Willis in general, think he's a*s.

I also don't care much for Bruce Willis in general, think he's a§§. I dislike Milla Jovovich. I'm sure she's a nice lady, but I just really do not like her acting. But I hate Paul WS Anderson, her husband and director of the RE movies and more clustertrucks, more because of his terrible directing. Bruce Willis is great in the movies I've seen him in but I heard he's degraded into low budget direct to video roles where he's in the film for like 1 minute just so they can put him on the front of the cover. I get what you mean but at the same time I don't really care if a character's relationship has a significant age gap as long as they're both well above consenting age and the relationship is well written. I don't like the double standards that come with the topic, there's a lot of movies where very, sometimes underaged, young male characters end up in relationships with adult women and it's treated as if there's nothing creepy about it at all. Hell, even the news media does that when covering cases where a woman grooms or touches a minor (notice how they avoid phrasing it as "rape" or "pedophillia", because women can't be abusers apparently). Well, that's getting into sensitive topic territory, and it's off topic. But, I get what you're saying. Stuck in Code Veronica after retrieving the emblems from the airport as Chris now that Sweepers spawn outside the only door out of there, and I'm stuck at the lowest health state.

I don't know much about the RE remakes. I know the first game was remade for the GC, and then ported to the PS4 with better controls. I know that they changed things in the second and third game. I heard in multiple videos that they made 3 considerably shorter than the original. 1 and 2 remakes don't really remove anything (asides from 2 removing the changing camera angles over a over the shoulder perspective and some combat and enemy changes to fit this better), but they add things including more story. 3 remake from what I understand changes almost everything, and also makes the game way more linear. Sorry I got info wrong, I haven't played them so I don't know any of the changes. I know I saw that you have a flashlight in 2 but that is the only change I saw. I know that alot of people I saw on YouTube love the remake of 2.

I just got sick of how it was primarily male characters with younger women, very rarely do they balance it out. I mean Kelso gets with a few teachers in That 70's Show but it isn't a big age difference. As for CV, I don't remember that part but I never finished it, I was living with a girl who had a Playstation at the time and we broke up, so I never finished CV and Bloodlines came out around that time, so I just moved on to that and forgot about CV. I'm hoping for a reboot though, that would probably pique my interest but as of right now, I'm really behind, I haven't even finished the 6th game yet.

The puzzles and story were good, and it's definitely my favorite out of the tank control games so far, but the bosses and voice acting were too much products of their time and console.

but the bosses and voice acting were too much products of their time and console. Their culture in Japan has always been a little more traditional than ours which I think makes some of their stories come off a bit dated but in their world, they're very with the times, or were. Japan has evolved a lot in the last 20 years, may even be ahead of us now, I don't really follow the news or politics anymore, they went overkill with talking about Covid so I got sick of their click baiting once and for all, nowadays I just check Vice every now and again. Anywho, games... I'm taking a break on Brutal Legend, love the game but its just soo damn short, and I want to unlock all the songs this time and one has to find a lo of the hidden songs on the map, I've found four songs I didn't find the first time, one of them is by Black's own band, figures.

There's an add on for Sims 4 called Eco Lifestyle, I decided to try it out, figured it would be pretty campy. Well, I was wrong, they tackled it pretty well but I doubt it will cause any players who still refuse to accept the eco damage to accept it and make changes. But Maxis really added much more realism to Sims 4 than previous games, they even put more emphasis on the different genders, in a way. But they did say they were going to start being more realistic prior to the games release. Oh, and they got rid of land lines in the Sims 4, all previous games had house phones and cell phones starting in the second, but the 4th only has cell phones since land lines are nearly obsolete. AT&T just ditched land line service in SoCal, they sold the service to FIOS, and no word if Fios will keep it for long.

The only Sims game I have ever played was Hot Date I think was the name. I played it at a friend's house.

You got the name right but it's an add on for the Sims 1, and while one of my ex's loved that game. Personally, the Sims would bore the hell out of me if it wasn't for the 3rd party mods. I found a new one today that adds a crossbow, the animation is a little raw though, the modder needs to work on the kill animation, but there is another mod that is far better animation wise, so I may just get that one. Anywho, been playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan, last I checked, the game was pulled from Steam due to some licensing issue, which is a shame. Its not the best TMNT game out there, I'll always think the arcade TMNT game was the best TMNT game, but its not bad. The graphics are cell shaded and look good, the controls are smooth, each Turtle can have different abilities and one can change from Turtle to Turtle, and the boss fights are fun. They made two mistakes, the online mode is way too easy, and the game only saves after a boss is beat, so if the game crashes or one exits 20 minutes into a specific stage, they have to start over. Back in the day it was traditional for every PC game to allow one to save at any given time, like Skyrim still does. But a lot of newer games, its auto save points only, and I don't like that.

Mods are one of the best advantages PC games have is the mods. There were a number of good ones for Half-Life. I only played The Sims once. I ended up making a baby and couldn't calm it so it was taken and it upset my GF in the game. Anywho, been playing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants In Manhattan, last I checked, the game was pulled from Steam due to some licensing issue, which is a shame. One game I would like to see out on Steam or some other service is Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and Star Trek Elite Force 2.

If you ever bother with a Turtles game, go with the SNES version of Turtles In Time, its fun but you'd have to emulate it using an SNES emulator, unless you have a SNES that still works. Mutants In Manhattan is fun single player wise but co-op, its too easy because the single player mode, the AI for the other three Turtles, they get beat up pretty easy while you're controlling the primary Turtle, but when you play with others, you have solid team work and its easy to just fly through the entire game fast.

One of the most iconic video game characters celebrates its/her 25th anniversary this year and they have a lot in store for Tomb Raider fans this year, and some of it sounds cool. Its been 25 years since Lara became the first video game vixen, I mean she was in soda ads, on billboards on the freeway, and Image Comics, who were still in their infancy, quickly started doing a Tomb Raider comic. Then of course there was the controversy with the nude raider nod and the internet was in war mode between pro nude raider and anti nude raider fans of Tomb Raider, it was amusing but also interesting to watch adults fighting over a video game character's reputation.
Of course Enix is taking advantage of the anniversary, they released, or are set to release, the Tomb Raider 25th Anniversary game collection, imagine its all 7 of the original games, the remake of the first one, and all three games from the rebooted series. She will be added to Final Fantasy, Fortnite, and some Tom Clancy game, forgot which one, think GHost Recon. So for fans of Lara, such as myself, it should be a fun year but will we get a sequel to the rebooted film franchise? I hope so, they did a far better job than they did with the Jolie TR films.
Actually, the reboots just are about Lara when she was younger, they could easily call them prequels and bring back the other Lara down the road.
Which may happen.

I've used emulaters a little, but not for a long time. I didn't know they were still a thing. The last time I played Sims, I had a female character, and she just laid in bed & cried all the time. It was like being married again!

Still very much a thing but the chit chat has moved to Russian hosted sites since they moved on to PS4 emulation and those games are still heavily guarded over. The biggest gaming thing these days however isn't emulation, its "repacks". For those who don't know what that means, its just a game that just needs to be unzipped and then pleyed, no need to install the game anymore and then apply the crack, its good to go after the unzipping. Its the best way to avoid any possible DRM... I hate DRM as much as the next guy but I just buy games on GOG, they're all DRM free, and if its not on GOG, I don't need to play it. I do play Sims 4 but I removed the DRM myself, went legit, just removed the drm on my own, even though it means no online features. I hate DRM.

I've been bringing up mods a lot but they've come a long way since the Nude Raider mod, I mean we're talking mods that add new animations, turn a family game into a nightmare, etc, and so on. Here's a zombie mod for Sims 4 which is pretty damn intense, very Walking Dead like even though Resident Evil was the influence behind the mod. sacrificialmods.com/zombie-apocalypse-news.htmlAll custom animations, all custom weapons, all custom sound effects, its pretty detail oriented and it has an array of options so one doesn't end up losing all of their Sims to the zombies... and its free. That may not sound like a big deal but these days, its becoming one. The really good modders are putting their stuff up on Paetron and only those who donate at least 5 a month to them on Paetron get access their updated work. I know one modder pulling in 15k off of just one basic script mod. Makes me wish I could do more than aesthetic mods, aesthetic mods, not very profitable, script mods, very popular.

DRM is the reason why I ended up buying an xbox 360. I wanted to play the game, Splinter Cell: Conviction, but I didn't want to buy a console just for one game, and the game was never coming to PS3. But it did come to PC, a few months later, but it had one of those "always online" piracy protection. Ubi-Soft had this also in Assassin's Creed 2 on PC, and it was a nightmare according the gamespot review if I remember correctly. I refuse to be at the mercy of a server to play a single player campaign.

It took awhile but Ubi did remove the "having to be online" part from the DRM on AC2 because many boycotted them over that one. As for Splinter Cell, the only one I like is the one where he's retired but one night they break into his house to try and kill him, and then he goes after them purely out of revenge, only to find out his daughter is still alive. It wasn't as stealthy as earlier games but it still had great AI and one had to really be on guard at all times, enemies were all over the place and if they hit the alarms, it just got harder. Think it was called Conviction.

To me it made sense since not only does he find out that his daughter wasn't killed by a drunk driver, someone was trying to have it done. And they expect Sam to be Mr. Nice Guy.

I worry in the event of sites like Steam going offline, if the games purchased will even still be playable. Or at least, playable with the same save data. Most companies are better about preserving their older games for a younger generation, both Sony and Xbox usually lower the prices on 5+ year old games to steals or let you download any game for no additional cost from a wide variety with a monthly subscription, then there's Nintendo that hates emulaton and makes their over a decade old games $60 because corporate greed.
