Do you guys have an artificial Christmas tree or a real one ?
Then his last year with us he was looking for a Christmas tree and decided to take the top of a tree off one that was about 20 feet tall. So I had to climb up the tree (climbing up a pine tree is no piece of cake) and cut the top off. Damn near killed myself the way the top fell taking me with it until the rope I had securing me caught my fall. I decided then and there I was never going to deal with a live tree again. If someone else wanted one… FINE… just leave me the hell out of it. smilie_wut_086  |

I love real Christmas trees, actually prefer them... they just don't like me. They're clothing destroying sap monsters, they are. 😄😋

Fake. Same one for eons. I have 5a of real all around.
Did something like you diobolic, first year on the land, decide we had many trees to choose from. Found the perfect one chop chop. Guess my perception of height was a tad off. Got the horse and hauled it back to the house. Ended up needing to top it out.

When I worked part-time at the home improvement center I had to get real Christmas trees for people. Trim them down, wrap them up. and cut 1" - 2" off the bottom so they would absorb water. Always got sap on me from those cut-off pieces, and one day decided to start telling people they were good luck and they should keep them (than way I didn't have to handle them). Most everyone was foolish enough to believe me. Yes... I'm gonna burn in Christmas hell, but I'll be sap free. (rofl)
