Was Louis XVI the king who returned after the abdication of Napoleon, and then subsequently was removed from the throne again when Napoleon returned from his exile on Corsica? |

No, Louis XVI was the king that was beheaded. The King your thinking about is Louis XVIII. Louis XVII was the young child of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. He lived for a year or so after they killed the king before they decided to king the child too. He was 10 when they killed him. Louis XVIII was brother to Louis XVI. He was french king between 1814 and 1824 except the so called hundred days (Napoleons return that did not last long). When he died his younger brother Charles X was king until 1830 when next revolution came along. They were not quite as bloodthirsty now so he was just forced to abdicate.
