I'm a Shapeshifting Gunslinger, bub. Remember. π€¨π .....the only thing about me that's chicken is "ChickenHAWK.....Foghorn Leghorn. π€¨ π
....okay I'm moving all of this to the Penalty Box! We need to clear out the junk....so everyone who wants make Earl Grey teas and iced teas and drink Snapple and Coke Zeros can come play toooo! Will drunkin' posting be moved to the penalty box also? Probably! Knowing YOU!
....just thinning some posts out. To make room for others. Neesy once commented that she didn't know this turned into a drinking alcohol only thread. π Don't want anyone who wants to discuss non-alcoholic beverages to get turned off and not want to post. Just trying to be considerate, but still have fun. π

You take care and stay safe wolf. Contrary to popular delusions, you're not invincible. Same goes for everyone in the path of Laura. Thanks much Dio! π We'll be fine up here in North Texas.
(X-23 ain't got nuthin' on ME. I'm good friends with her daddy, "Bub". π)
This hericane Laura, more or less, looks like she will take the Rita path. Through Texas and Louisiana, that is.
Rita definitely I wasn't as strong as Laura is.
....hurricane....himicane....they're all a cane in the a$$...... Right Lady spideyman ? ππ I am very glad that poor Florida is getting a little bit of a break this season. 'Bout time. π€¨ .....prayers for all. ((((((All in need or not)))))) Glad you seem to be in a safe location, wolf. Well, one thing is apparent... Laura is bringing about a hurricane of puns.

Thanks diobolic. π Yeah, we're okay up here, evacuees are coming here to the DFW area, as well as San Antonio.
osnafrank , if you saw the last "Wolverine" movie...."Laura (maybe Lara π)....is a little superheroine, genetically engineered with Logan's DNA. In the comic books, her code name was X-23.....but I think you already KNEW that little factoid. π€¨....ππππ
.....I had quit buying comic books by the time X-23 storyline came a long. So that's why I'm not sure if her name was Laura or Lara. π.....SOUNDED like Laura to ME! ππ
Yeah! See where y'all are at!? π
Dang, Commander!Dio didn't even drag you this time! π€¨.....πππ
....can't even put my tools away, make my rounds....THEN go to the bathroom and to the fridge to get a cold one and pop a top, without SOMEBODY attempting to attract a load of Tracker Jackers to fall on him/ them! ......that's what I get for advertising that I'm off work! πππ!
Frank, if you're off to bed soon, then have a good night and sweet dreams. π π
Dio?......just behave! For ONE hour!? π€¨ ππ

Yeah- Stanley Tucci is good in just about everything I've seen him in. He was perfect as Flickerman. I wasn't expecting to like Elizabeth Banks and at first, I found myself actually looking for an excuse to say she wasn't the right choice for Effie Trinket, but she won me over! That was really good casting. I haven't kept up with all the Hunger Games movies, but I love the first one.

Hey Dizzy and prufrock21 π Those are excellent! I'm really enjoying reading everyone's things they're coming up with! Whatever we end up doing together as a group, we all ought to keep our ideas and write our own stories on our own and place them elsewhere, like doyoulove19 was telling Dio. This is great guys. π Mine will go in a circular file.
A ghost story I was part of... Growing up there was a haunted mansion located on an isolated hill in the town I lived in. I was built by civil war General Elisha Marshal. He commanded union troops at the βBattle of the Crater.β Union troops from near here were made up of coal miners turned soldiers. They had an idea to dig a tunnel underneath the Confederate entrenchmentβs, place 4,000 pounds of black powder and blow a huge hole in the Rebel lines. It worked except for one thing... When union soldiers charged they went down into the hole and couldn't get out. The Rebels stood on the edge of the crater and killed them all. Story has it the abandoned mansion was haunted from the dead union soldiers under his command looking for revenge against the general. And the hill it is said to be red from the blood of those soldiers. Some people that lived in the mansion afterwards seemed to suffer from an extraordinary amount of suicides. Growing up my dad was friends with a kid that lived there until a suicide happened in the family. My dad said his friend believe it was haunted. That he always heard footsteps and saw shadows in the hallways. When I was growing up my friends and I would sneak into the place. Eeriest place you can imagine. I never saw anything but it always seemed if you listened closely enough you can hear the marching footsteps of soldiers and a spooky feeling of wind. The biggest fear was not from ghosts but from falling though the rotted flooring.
