I don't come here as often as I should so I missed this one originally. This is my land. These are my people. I've driven past much of this. Where the road narrows to go under the railroad tracks in one shot I got a ticket for twice the limit. I was in a hurry to finish the day because my wife and I were going on our first vacation so long ago. Rust college bought the large building with the two extended gables and it's being renovated now. I always thought it was a waste to let it rot. They make things look so abandoned but I know them as teaming with life. Good song though. |

I knew Dave Johnson for twenty years on another forum. Talked with him about family and schools and religion and heart doctors. We discussed things on the open forum and things in private that we never told anyone else. I considered him a friend. He fought a long hard battle but he caught covid while on immunosuppressants after his latest surgery and died a few months back. As you can hear from this song he made all on his own the world lost an excellent musician. I know it lost an excellent man.

Oddly I'm friends with another Dave I worked with for ten years and had a hand in talking him into going to Nashville where he hooked up with Saving Able as their drummer.
