Pennywise is manageable, realistic characters (Buffalo Bill+) based on the likes of Ed Guin are just....noooo! Too icky😆.....though Hannibal is a favorite supervillain you gotta love, he's got class....outside of the cannibalism aspect. More later in another thread. Have a good night.🙂 Most monsters in horror films are based on Ed Gein or John Wayne Gacey or Bundy, or the most iconic of them all, Jack The Ripper, I mean King, Craven, Carpenter, they aren't 100% creative. But with that being said, here's an excellent cover song. Most will remember Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, it was a pretty damn good song and featured in Wild at Heart. However, HIM covered it and somehow managed to make it even better.

The remake of the Ian Hunter tune, not a bad cover. Came from a pretty good album too.....

I love Lorde's cover of Tears for Fears Everybody Wants To Rule The World, it was used in the trailers for Dracula Untold but I don't recall the song in the actual film.
What I don't get is why she made it shorter than the original, but at least a minute and a half.

One last video for the night because this woman is the one who made me realize as a kid that women can rock as well. Cyndi not only was a great performer back in the day and ahead of her time image wise, she also played a HUGE role in the WWWE becoming mainstream. How? Despite being famous, she worked with them as an announcer and manager on their show, and she featured many of them in her videos. Which reminds me, its time to watch the Goonies again. I'm not a big fan of PG films, they're usually too tame for me, but that movie is just a lot of fun.... and it was filmed in my favorite area of Oregon, I actually went to the restaurant when I lived there, and it was still just as beat up as it is in the film.

Your new Signature is so much better. I've got a list of favorite historic quotes, most of them are from Wilde but when I heard one of Nietzsche's lines in the game I'm playing right now, it reminded me of all of his cool quotes. As most know by now, big Pretty Reckless fan but back in the day, I was a big Chris Cornell/Soundgarden fan and liked some of what he did with Audioslave as well, and so is Taylor. I just came across her tribute to him, pretty good. But honestly, while I love his work, I don't remember him doing this song.. but I lack 2-3 of his albums.

Love... best feeling in the world but also can be the most painful... But as one once said, better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all. I can't remember who said that, some writer I think. This song is all about the pain of love but it hits home hard and it's easily one of the best by the Cure, and the title track from one of their best albums. There are rumors that their next album will be just as good, I hope that's true because its been over 20 years since Disintegration.

The writer you're searching for is Tennyson, Lord Alfred Figures, he was the one who said, "Love Is The Only Gold"... I like a lot of his stuff but that gold one was just a bit too much. And going back topic, this is a great song that uses the part of the quote that I used... It's another love loss song, very sad, and the singer also has big hair... He found love again, so the woman the song is about probably lost her "monument".

Was watching the Prophecy the other day and this song is in the credits, its one of their better slower songs..
Great movie by the way, didn't get the love it deserved, the second and third are good as well but Walken didn't come back for the final two or three films, so I skipped those.

The vocals on this one are outstanding...
Its called Gone With The Sin but I'm not sure where the sin went, is it under the bed? In the closet? Did it move to Russia? No clue..

Last night I was listening to live versions of songs I’ve seen in concert over the years, on youtube. Even though I’ve become an old fart I still try and see a concert every year of some older groups (when music was good) that I haven’t seen yet. Last year everything I was interested was cancelled because of COVID. Was looking through the lineup of concerts this spring and summer at the local small concert hall that’s a big log cabin located on the top of a mountain, to see who will be this year’s adventure. Added bonus is there's a bar located right in the concert hall. I’ve narrowed to three possibilities... 38 Special, STYX, and Ted Nugent. Decisions, decisions... right now leaning towards 38 Special. What the hell, see all three.
