I just listened to all 3 acts of Frank Zappa's 1979 2 hour long concept album "Joe's Garage". Its lyrics and story were... interesting to say the least. Very much to be expected from Zappa. Quite an enjoyable album.

I don't really consider myself a Sabbath fan but they're honestly pretty good whenever Ozzy isn't the one singing them

I heavily disagree, I think the debut Sabbath album has some pretty annoying Ozzy moments. He sounds okay on Paranoid and Sabbra Cadabra. But, the debut and masters of reality have some pretty bad vocals from Ozzy imo. Granted, I have not heard Vol 4, Never Say Die, or Technical Ecstasy as for the other Ozzy Sabbath albums, so maybe I'll get to those sometime.

Ronnie James Dio has a good voice and I like some of the stuff he did with Sabbath and the 3 Rainbow albums he was on were all great, but I don't like his voice nearly as much as a lot of other people do. Holy Diver is the only album from his solo career that I think is decent. The other ones he released with his self titled band just aren't my thing.

Have you checked out Deep Purple? yeah I've heard Deep Purple's first 5 or 6 albums. I relistened to In Rock yesterday, I can't believe it took me this long to realize the album cover was a pun on the title. Ian Gillan has a great voice, my favorite thing he's done is his role playing Jesus Christ on the amazing rock opera album that is the original Jesus Christ Superstar album, before it became more popular after it got adapted as a stage musical.
