My kids reminded me on 4th of July that I used to like to play Crash Bandicoot. I totally forgot about that one.  I know! It's one that doesn't get mentioned very often. One of my goofball sons still has a tiny McDonald's version of a Crash game that he got in a Happy Meal when he was about 6 (!) His girlfriend took it out of her purse the other day and I was so shocked to see it I almost did the Nestea plunge right in the pool. |

I've had games consoles as far back as the atari, and "gaming p.c's" like the amstrad 464 and commador 64.
I used to love games like space harrier, road rash, donkey Kong etc. The first game I can remember standing out as unique and became one of my favourites was called Mr Bones for the sega Saturn.
My favourite game since 2004 was gta san andreas. I played that so many times - I'm part way through it currently on ps4 for nostalgia. That remained my favourite game until 2013 when The Last Of Us came out and was leagues apart from anything else. I'm not sure if anything can topple that. The last of us part 2 didn't.

When I have time for gaming these days, it's still Guild Wars 2. I still enjoy my guild and the gorgeous gameworld. In the past I've played the Diablo series, Lord of the Rings Online, the Portal games, and part of Half-life 2.
And here I have a dirty little secret to share--I've never been able to finish HL2 because the sounds of the zombies totally freak me out.

You won't leave the house for months. I don't. I had a snes back in the day. I had a game called unicycle races. That was such fun. However, I never seem to be able to recapture the magic when I replay old generations of games and consoles. It never seems to satisfy the way it did. I remember when those minis came out, they were like gold dust over here. |

Dude, do you have a SNES mini? You can mod that puppy so that it can hold hundreds of games.

The King of Kong.
It's a documentary on two men on a fierce and competitive quest to be the all time score leader in the Donkey Kong arcade game.
I know. How could this possibly be interesting, but it is. It surprisingly is. |

What does everyone think of Microsoft's acquisition of Bethesda this week?
Not good news for me since I game on Playstation. I am hopeful my faves will not become Xbox exclusives.

I have not played it myself yet but my son has played it through once so I know what happens. To me it makes total sense. May be not what anyone wanted to happen but it does make sense in the story. It did put my son off for a few days. I did feel bad. He is admittedly not as crazy about pt 2 as 1 but he still liked it, overall. |
