Good list, Dominance and Submission is the song that made me want to listen to their entire discography in the first place and it has a special place in my heart. I couldn't make a top 5 as there's just so many songs I like, but some of my favorites are Before the Kiss a Redcap, Transmaniacon MC, Screams, The Came the Last Days of May, Wings Wetted Down, Teen Archer, Dominance and Submission, Subhuman, Flaming Telepaths, Astronomy, The Revenge of Vera Gemini, Morning Final, ETI (Extraterrestrial Intelligence), Golden Age of Leather, Death Valley Nights, I Love the Night Celestial the Queen, Nosferatu, In Thee, Moon Crazy, Divine Wind, Fallen Angel, Deadline, Vengeance (The Pact), Burnin' For You, Spy in the House of the Night, Madness to the Method, Les Invisibles, Magna of Illusion, and Harvest Moon. And that's just me trying to narrow it down, and it's already like opening a Pandora's Box of giving me a reason to talk about BÖC. Can't wait for October 9th and my preordered vinyl of The Symbol Remains to arrive in the mail. The two singles were pretty good, though I hope they do some stuff more akin to their 70s work. Worst thing I missed because of Quarantine was the BÖC concert I was planning to go to in April. I was surprised at the singles they released for the new album. "Box in my Head", to me, sounds like classic BOC. But "That Was Me" sounds like something that Alice in Chains would put out, straight up Doom Metal is that riff. All the Shirley songs are great, I love "See You in Black". To add to your list, I would say "OD'd on Life Itself". The new album even has a track named after our very own wireman . I really liked Box in My Head, even though I'm not a big fan of most of John Shirley's lyrics in the last two BÖC albums. That Was Me was pretty good too, it's basically Career of Evil 2 if you ask me, they should've referenced that song in the lyrics, that would've been cool. Something like "When he did to your daughter on a dirt road, that was me" would have been a nice callback for the fans.

I'm honestly surprised that they are actually putting the album out, they've been talking about this record for years. I guess it is too hopeful to think that Al Bouchard will be on the new album, he probably just had the cameo in the video for giggles. Also, they should bring back Joe to play bass, and perform a séance to resurrect Allen Lanier.

You know, when it comes to anything after Creatures of the Night, I pretty much just pick and choose my favorite songs and rarely listen to complete albums any more. Revenge has a lot of good tracks — I Just Wanna is one that I happen to love even though a lot of people think it’s dumb. Vinnie Vincent may be a nutjob , but the guy wrote some fun songs!

I am a Miami Heat fan and they are in the playoffs right now. Most of the time when I watch basketball, I turn off the TV sound and listen to music on my headphones instead of listening to the announcers. When the playoffs started I was listening to BOC and when the Heat won the first game, my superstitions took over and I decided I had to listen to BOC until they lost. Well, the Heat have won 6 in a row and I've listened to 6 games worth of BOC. I even have a go to album in the 4th quarter. With 6 minutes left in the 4th quarter I have to go to ET live and listen to Joan Crawford through Roadhouse Blues and if the game is still going on, back to Joan Crawford. It's worked great so far.
If the Heat can make it to the finals, it will probably be a while before I can listen to these albums again.

I used to think everyone preferred the original lineup...because the Kiss fans I know in "real life" are that way. (We're all old--what can I tell ya?! ) But talking to people online, I'm surprised at how many people, like you, enjoy the later stuff. One of my sons, in his 20's ,went through a phase last summer when he'd listen to 80's Kiss non-stop. It was hilarious to me, getting in his car and hearing Animalize or Asylum blasting. When those records came out,I never imagined that someday I'd be riding around with one of my grown-up kids ,singing Turn on the Night.

Even fans off Ace admit that, from a technical perspective, Bruce is the superior player. Mark St John was great as well. I think its the KISS records you listen to first that are your favourite, with me it was later KISS. In the seventies they seemed to be experimenting, where as later they seemed to have honed their skills. I loved KISS being influenced by metal bands of the period. Animalize is the most metal KISS album. There are brutal tracks on that album. Also Turn on the Night is a banger, plus the video has Gene and Paul chasing a playboy bunny, so what's not to love?

I guess you can call them an Agent of Fortune If The Heat keep winning, I may shave my hair to the shape of the symbol - maybe a Heat Logo on one side and the BOC logo on the other. I don't think I have enough hair for that though.

I don't think I have enough hair for that though. I only noticed yesterday that the hook on the logo is an upside down question mark, according to some sources the logo is called "The Cross of Questioning". I'm not sure where they got that from, but considering Bill Gawlik, the artist of the first two BÖC album covers and designer of the logo, has disappeared from the public eye for 40+ years, it's not like you can ask him. When I actually grow facial hair I wonder if I'd look better with the Buck stache or the Eric beard.

II told Ed that I thought it was strange Career Of Evil is not on any of the 70s or 80s live albums. It's the first song I remember hearing form them and it had airplay in my corner of the world. I think it must have been a single since there's a single edit of it on the bonus tracks. Plus it's the lead off track on an album and lead off tracks are usually what bands are thinking will be popular.
