As I have said before I like how they portrayed the new Jud as kinda creepy. Something that has bothered me is about the stuff Ellie says to him in the new book about Norma burning in hell. In the book Gage mocks Jud by saying she knew about his infidelity and she was waiting for him in hell...but movie Ellie almost seems to insist that Jud had tried bringing Norma back and that, as a punishment, she and Ellie were suffering in hell because of it. What do you think? Am I looking to much into it?

I remember discussing this back on the SKMB.
Mmm. .....I don't want to think or say you're 'reading' too much into it.....but we are talking about things that happened in different adaptions of the original story.
I will say this, like I said on the SKMB, I believe in Norma's fidelity,
And I believe what Gage said was nothing more than a demons lie to shake Jud up.
I am remembering Jud, coming home and seeing his ' friends' at his home while he was away and Norma was alone, and he having doubts about her. I still think all of that was demons working on his imagination and trying to get the worst reaction out of him possible.
Same thing with Baterman boy saying what he did to Jud, calling him the whore master and all.
Jud confessed to visiting whores, to ask a strange woman to do what a man couldn't bring himself to ask his wife to do.
That always stuck with me, and it tells me that Norma was not the type to have been so freely "ENTERTAINING" men behind her husband's back. (I think you get what I'm saying here without me going into explicit detail)
I certainly discount anything Ellie says on the subject of Norma in the latest movie.
It goes back to the same thing, demons trying to rattle, torment and distract Jud.

You make a very valid point. I always thought that it was just them messing with him, but with some of the new ways they went in the new movie I had to wonder.
