That is terribly interesting. Wished there was some footage of it opening up/unfolding and vice versa. I guess the honeycomb hexagonal configuration was most efficient to use for that? ...need to read and watch again, just thinking on why the need for the hazmat looking gear...maybe to protect the mirror surfaces or something? I know you have to be very careful handling mirror/glass surfaces and lenses of all kinds. Especially telescope lenses.

Cranes always have to offload the weight of the Mirrors.
Believe it or not, the primary reason why they wear these suits is to prevent biological contamination or any other kind of disruption due to extra terrestrial adventures.
There are two kinds of interplanetary contamination: forward contamination and back contamination. In forward contamination, viable organisms are transferred from Earth to another celestial body.H However, back contamination is the opposite of forward contamination.

It's a lot to think about. I still need to read and watch again. Thank you Frank! 🙂
I saw a lot of the 2017 movie "Life" with Jake Gyllenhaal again, during dinner the other night. 'Contaminations' from outer space is a thing to be freaked out about. (um...to be honest, I really didn't thing a lot of the guys at NASA... etc, would be very worried about 'us' contaminating anything 'out there'.)

THAT 😳...was cool! Creepy as f**k, but cool. (I know, I was subjected to that "Because I looked!".😆 And it was worth it!😊)
..."looks like the offspring of a hookah smoking caterpillar and a vacuum cleaner bag" (not verbatim there)...Mmm...maybe that's ONE way to describe it. 😆
