i got a few nice bargains recently. A portable Bluetooth marshall speaker that can double up as a little guitar amp. I got it on clearance for £37.50, you can still buy them elsewhere for £109 and when they first came out they were £179
I also got a gift set of my favourite aftershave - spicebomb by viktor & rolf. To buy a 90ml bottle is £75, the gift set has a 90ml bottle and a 20ml travel bottle for £62.

Andy likes that expensive stuff from Givenchy (I think it's called Pi) but any old scent will do for me. Even Avon perfume believe it or not.
Weirdly enough that stuff I mentioned above actually gives off a strange smell - sort of like a plastic baby doll from years ago. 
I will have to look up Spicebomb by Viktor and Rolf

I stay home much of the time since the pandemic; but Monday my son and I left the house to go the the New Hampshire State Liquor store. I bought Smirnoff Cucumber & lime infusion and Smirnoff Cake vodkas. My son chose Rum Haven, which is made from Coconut Water.
Then we went to Barnes & Noble just because we have been cooped up for too long. I chose Peter Straub's Ghost Story, Christopher Golden's The Pandora Room, and An American Sunrise poems by Joy Harjo, Poet Laureate of the US for 2019. My son got a bunch of anime and graphic novels for The Last Airbender.

I bought/traded for these nice things on Saturday. I've been looking for that Shirley Jackson book for a long time. I had it years ago, but lost it. That was a crappy paperback from 8th grade (probably covered with tape, too), so now I've upgraded to this nice hardcover. |

That was a crappy paperback from 8th grade (probably covered with tape, too), so now I've upgraded to this nice hardcover. Ray Bradbury is one of my all time favorite authors. I think I posted a few of my old paperbacks here because some of them have great artwork on the covers. I was kind of obsessed with him for a few of my teenage years. We had to read Fahrenheit 451 in high school and I loved it so much, I read whatever other Bradbury books I could get my paws on. Something Wicked is definitely worth owning. |

This is the hardcover copy of The Bachman Books that I got for $10. The paper jacket is a little torn up, but I have clear plastic covers so I’ll put one on it to keep it from getting any worse. Attachment Deleted |

Look on the inside flap and see if it says book club edition at the bottom. Mine says that and everyone of these old ones I have ever seen says that. I have wondered if this was a book club only release. It's possible, since it was an omnibus, that it was a book club only release. Many omnibus books from other authors were done that way. I always meant to ask Ms Mod but never remembered to.

Mine looks exactly like the one in the link I think mine is in basically the same condition as the one in the photo above; Don’t plan to sell it though - I’ll just keep it in my collection |
