Cool poster. I have a Led Zep poster I like
Too much reflection in that photo but you can still see it. Look in the reflection and you can see me taking the photo. I'm glad I wore pants.

Well, I guess these count as nice things. What’s even better is that I didn’t have to “buy” ‘em at all. I traded in so much stuff I couldn’t even spend all the store credit I got.

Do you play the colored vinyl or just save it as a collectable?

Do you play the colored vinyl or just save it as a collectable? I just collect them. I have all the In This Moment albums on vinyl. However, I plan on someday building a console stereo system reminiscent of the 1980's, with a turntable, CD player, amp, tuner, and speakers 4 feet high.
I pity those who grew up only knowing Spotify and iTunes.

Nice. A couple of my sons are into records, so I gave them free reign over all of my old vinyl EXCEPT the Kiss & Alice records. ( Sentimental reasons ) I like seeing them listen to music on actual, tangible , old school media.

Putting on a record or putting in a CD is more than the music. It's reading the lyrics and liner notes. It's the smell of vinyl, the act of the ritual. It was more personal.
Do your KISS albums still have all the goodies in them?

Do your KISS albums still have all the goodies in them?I have all the original sleeves and posters that came with the records, and of course the booklets that came with Alive! and Aive II....but I wore out the Love Gun, used up the tattoos, and stuck the RARO sticker on my bed when I was a kid. Also, I used most of the order forms to buy "Mylar" pictures, a Kiss necklace and a bunch of other Krap....some of which I still have. But yes...My kids definitely appreciate the album cover art--that's a big factor, and all the extra art & info you could fit on the back cover or better yet, inside a gatefold. My Alice-School's Out album cover has "legs" that fold out so that it becomes a little school desk. Try doing that with your Spotify, right!?

Oh man, my original 70's KISS records have been shredded, though I still have Destroyer and KISS (1973), the first 2 albums I owned from KISS. The covers are separating and water warped and drawn on, but I will never throw those away.
I went through a phase in the 2000's when I had to own all the KISS albums again, including the early blue label versions. When times got tough, I sold them. I may embark on that quest once again.

I may embark on that quest once again.Oh believe me, some of mine are in rough shape, too. I loved them almost to death. As I got older, I met people who told me they used to like Kiss, but didn't anymore, and they'd offer me their records, which I gladly accepted...so I do have multiple copies of some albums, a few blue labels and all of those hand-me-down records are in much better condition than the ones that were my original copies, that I played on a daily basis and took everywhere. By the way, on my copy of the debut Kiss album, my brother took an eraser and erased "#1" under the Kiss logo--the damn thing actually kind of looks like lights and some people probably think it belongs there...
