Not the most recent thing I've bought, I got it on black friday. But it's my favourite thing I've bought in a very long time. A fender stratocaster performer (USA) in surf green. I love it. Very nice! Didn't realize you were so musical - great to see you posting here

Thanks neesy. I'll try to stay a bit more active than I have been on the other board. I currently own 5 guitars, including my very 1st one still.

I have not bought any nice things lately which means I should take a trip to the mall - maybe buy some of those Lush bath bombs

Very nice guitars, Anthony. What type of music do you prefer to play?Mostly classic rock, dire straits, pink floyd etc, but I play a bit of folk music every now and then. I just pick it up and see what happens.

Didn't realize until a few years ago that he was the founder of Zeppelin. As far as bands go I'm a fan of Deep Purple, Bon Jovi, Queen, Hendrix, Joplin and Aerosmith.

My 2 favourite guitarists are Mark Knopfler and David Gilmour. There are so many great guitarist though like Clapton, stevie ray Vaughn, steve vai, gary Moore, chris rea, I could go on for ever. One guitarist I feel doesnt get enough credit is Billy Gibbons from zz top. If you look past the gimmicks like the beard, cheap sunglasses and fluffy guitars, on songs like I need you tonight he is great. I love his sound too.

He's a Canadian guitarist and is well known here for his acoustic guitar

Here he is playing one of his songs - I first became a fan way back in the 1970s (I was very young at the time) lol

I agree with you Mark Knopler is a great guitarist. I wll have to watch a video of ZZ Top and see David Gilmour.

Went to a record store today. Picked up Secret Treaties and Cultösaurus Erectus by Blue Öyster Cult on vinyl. I already own Cultösaurus, but my copy is so horribly damaged a replacement is welcome. I have always wanted Secret Treaties on vinyl ever since I started collecting vinyl, my dad fixed my record player so I can actually listen to my vinyls again. Secret Treaties is in perfect condition and it sounds as amazing as I hoped it would.

I've never had the "vinyl" experience, but to hard core music aficionados it's a necessity I've been told.

I do most of my music listening through Spotify. I just enjoy collecting vinyls of albums I like and occasionally give them a spin. Some people over-exaggerate how different and superior of an experience it is, but there is something to appreciate about the crisper sound. If you greatly enjoy a specific album, then hearing it on vinyl is a very appreciable experience. The main drawback is the fact that they are easily damaged, which can greatly damage the point of listening to the music through that medium, it's especially apparent if you shop records used. You occasionally strike gold, other times not so much. It's not something for everyone, I just like collecting them because they're cool, and it's nice to own physical copies of certain albums.
