Here's something completely different, just to breathe some new life into this thread......
Words I detest 😊:
Whimsical Cozy Yummy Pamper
That's a start! Lol, they're just not my kind of verbs and adjectives. 😊
Hope drawntokatet makes it back soon. Been missing seeing her around the board.
The kidd and triple O too. neesy ? You got any words to relate lately? You've been a really good contributor. 😊 Okay - I will give it a shot:
magnanimous
adj noble and generous in spirit “a magnanimous conqueror”
Synonyms: greathearted
noble having or showing or indicative of high or elevated character
adj generous and understanding and tolerant “magnanimous toward his enemies”
Synonyms: big, large
generous not petty in character and mind

😄 I’m with you all the way on “ yummy” ...I’ve detested that word my whole life! I rarely have any reason to say “ pamper” and I don’t think I’ve ever said “ whimsical” out loud....It’s one of those words I see written, but never use myself. What’s a good substitute for “cozy” though? That’s one I might need now and then. Cozy isn't that bad of a word - it makes me think of a cabin or a cottage with flowers growing around it (or even a "tea cozy" but maybe that is spelled "cozie"?)
Synonyms for cozy:
snug, sheltered, welcoming, secure, safe, comfortable

I thought a lot about this word yesterday because the Starlings were flocking, swooping and soaring above me in the 90 degree F heat. There were thousands of them and I was drawn to them.
Murmuration of birds
When starlings flock together, wheeling and darting through the sky in tight, fluid formations, we call it a murmuration. These murmurations can range from small groups of a few hundred starlings in a small ball to undulating seas of millions of birds that might block out the sun.
