Medulla Oblongata
I kind of like how this word rolls off the tongue - it's actually a section or structure which makes up the lower part of the brain stem

"The Ides of March"
A much misunderstood term (a misnomer of sorts) associated with doom, as is the word "Apocalypse", which is the Greek word for 'Revelation'.
People tend to think of the soothsayer’s warning to Julius Caesar in William Shakespeare's play of the same name: “Beware the Ides of March.” Shakespeare’s play stuck in people's minds and branded the phrase—and the date, March 15—with a dark and connotation. Many people who use the phrase today don’t know its true origin. Pop culture reference to the Ides (Except for those appearing in actual history books or historically accurate movies), make it seem like the day itself is cursed.
Ides of March actually has a non-threatening origin story. Kalends, Nones and Ides were ancient markers used to reference dates in relation to lunar phases. Ides simply referred to the first new moon of a given month, which usually fell between the 13th and 15th. In fact, the Ides of March once signified the new year, which meant celebrations and rejoicing.
I wonder how much it has to do with the Spring Equinox, that will be on March 20, 2021. The March New Moon was on the 13th. Got more reading up to do sometime.

beefy boy Super man!
hehehe
so to try and get back to the subject:
My word of the day is
Medulla Oblongata
I just like the way it rolls off the tongue
The medulla oblongata is a portion of the hindbrain that controls autonomic functions such as breathing, digestion, heart and blood vessel function, swallowing, and sneezing. Motor and sensory neurons from the midbrain and forebrain travel through the medulla
...Yes, we remember. "The Lizard Brain" Destroying that takes out Zombies. Wot? "Medulla Oblongata" is 'the Lizard Brain'. Controls baser functions and drives, I believe. It's the part of a Walker's brain that has to be taken out to do it in. 😊
