I'm part Irish too. My father is an Englishman, but his father was 100% Irish, therefore his upbringing was more Irish than English. His father spoke Irish Gaelic and danced a perfect jig. My father knew it was time to run when his father started yelling in Irish, because it meant he wasn't just mad; he was MAD, haha!
I've never been to Ireland, which saddens me. I love the culture and the music as it's so close me. Oh, and to stay on topic: a random fact about me is that my English is absolutely pitiful for someone with this background. I just never use it, so it gets incredibly rusty.

I am 75% German and 25% Norwegian (insert jokes here). My mom is and grandparents were 100% German (Germans from Russia - they spoke German and English - the former when they were arguing and didn't want us to know what they were saying).
My great-great-great-great maternal grandmother was a gypsy from Turkey who fell in love and left her clan. When I was born, my great aunt said "There's the gypsy baby." (Because of my dark hair.)

My mom loved that show but quit watching when Morgan and blondie with glasses/IT genius - Penelope? (can't remember her name) didn't end up together and he left the show.

They addressed this several times throughout the show's long run. I like it just the way it is. It shows that platonic love can be as deep and meaningful as romantic love. Too many people don't get that IMO.

It was perfect, and you don't fix what's not broken.
