Spot the Station
Did you know that you can get an email or text alert informing you of an International Space Station flyover? I've been doing this for a couple of years now, and I enjoy it. This morning it passed over my house at 6:33am and was illuminated by the rising sun. At 17,500 miles per hour- it seems so peaceful.

osnafrank, Is there a group here who write about quantum physics? I have a bunch of books by Richard Feynman and Michio Kaku that I've read but gave up on because I could not find anyone else interested. I figure I'm about ten years behind now but still interested to learn more.

Nope, we don't have a Quantum Mechanics/Physics Thread yet. But it's a wonderful Idea mary Feel free to create it !!
Michio Kaku is a great theoretical physicist, futurist, and popularizer of science. Love his work !

Michio Kaku is a great theoretical physicist, futurist, and popularizer of science. Love his work ! I'd like to see y'all start a thread on these things, would want to read it. I haven't read any of their books, but I have always enjoyed watching and listening to Michio Kaku and Neil deGrasse Tyson. Even though I don't always agree with them. 😊

Scientists Make Advances Towards Quantum Supremacy
A Russian-German research team has created a quantum sensor that grants access to measurement and manipulation of individual two-level defects in qubits. The study by NUST MISIS, Russian Quantum Center and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, published in npj Quantum Information, may pave the way for quantum computing.scitechdaily.com/scientists-make-advances-towards-quantum-supremacy/
