Hey, Cat...sorry to hear that. Is it raining there? Sometimes bad weather puts me in a funk. I have a book quote about Wyoming I bookmarked yesterday and intended to share with you. I need to PM you. Btw...I've never made lasagna. It seems involved and something I'd burn or overcook. Love to eat it, though. No it has been nice for several days. I really don't know what is up. I'm just tired I think. I can't wait to see the quote! Lasagna is easy. I will tell you how I do it if you are interested! Oh, ok. Well, Spencer sure brightened up your day, didn't he? LOL I definitely want to know how to make your lasagna. I went to get the book with the quote in it and I'm going to send it to you when my sister brings her laptop.

Thanks everyone! I am feeling better this morning. Still not moving very quickly, and I have so much to do! But I feel better. 🙂
Yes Frank, at least it is not snowing anymore! 🤣 That made me laugh.

Waaaaa! 😖😖😖😖😖 Bee! Bee! Bee! Bee! Bee! Bee! *repeats the word "Bee!" several times while scarpering off in 50 different directions all at once, and diving into a bin; jams lid down; bin falls over, and rolls down hill and disappears far away* It's a very polite bee though, just a little bit.....weird Speaking of bees, I have seen some very small bees buzzing around on my deck garden (it's really just a big collection of potted flowers and herbs).
It's nice to sit out there and look at all the colours plus some of the plants smell very good.
Perhaps we can help 'bring back the bees' if more people planted some flowers - even a garden on a balcony will do it - it doesn't have to be a big garden.
Once Andy is feeling up to it and feels better I hope he can dig up the flower bed before the summer progresses much more. I will go get his big garden fork out of the shed and give it a try myself.
The grass had been growing there for several years and created quite a network of roots that need to be removed - it's hard work.
Guess you noted I crossed out the sentence above - better give the poor guy a break! He just had surgery

When I was younger I got that a lot - people told me I was too 'perky' or a bit of a 'Polly Anna' - I don't get that as much anymore - must be getting crabby now that I am older animierte-smilies-winter-044

Many people here, have these things called "Insect Hotels" in their gardens. Our landlord put up two of them in our backyard. They are for Bees, Butterflys, Ladybugs and wasps.

Yap. We have a lack of insects, especially bees here. So many people and communities started several projects, like these hotel or also wild meadows to bring them back.

Fortunately I have nothing to complain about here except I haven't time to garden the past couple of years like I used to. We have had good bugs showing up lately and have seen the bees coming around to our crepe myrtles again. Found a lady bug walking across the living room table not too long ago. Always a good sign. I like the good bugs. We have always used garlic and hot chile solution to keep the worms and other pests off the tomatoes and other plants they like to devour. Its always worked pretty good for us thank God.

Only thing that intrudes here is ants, I had to get an audio plug-in gadget which emits a sound that keeps them out, it's worked pretty well for the most part over the years, we have hedging and trees out in our back yard which most years has a wasps nest or two in them so during the summer months it's best if I keep the windows closed at the back of the house as being inquisitive little ba***rds they tend to come inside whereupon I send them to meet their maker.

Ladybugs are my absolute favorite. I found one in my mom's place about a month ago and took it outside and put it in a remote shrub. Afterward my mom said, "You've never found a ladybug you didn't try to save." That warmed my heart.

Aw thats cool I'm hoping to see some praying Mantis' this year, it's a few seasons since I've seen one. I wonder if the heat has something to do with that. Seems like drought and excessive hot summers here affect different buggies differently. Sometimes when we geta heat wave (even something normal for here) crickets come out big time and drop like flies on Raid. I think Praying Mantis are particularly pretty insects like ants, dragonflies and lady bugs. (Not ignoring flutterbys of course )
