This is a good day because I woke up to the smell of bacon cooking and the sound of Black Sabbath in the living room and it's not even Saturday yet.

- today is a good day to gradually wake up and smell the coffee - don't think I'm at 100% today - might need to log off and go check out my garden to get some fresh air and sunshine

To make some French Vanilla cupcakes with fresh orange juice and peel added to the batter
I just used a cake mix but by adding the fresh juice and grated peel it helped perk up the flavour.
I actually DO feel better now - I had a warm shower and did go check out the garden
Now I'm trying to decide if I want to make Broccoli and Cheddar soup or not

That all sounds really good. I haven’t baked anything in months. I made a cake for my youngest son’s birthday in May and I think that was the last time I used the oven. 🥴 It’s just too freakin hot to cook much 🥵 ....I’ll make up for it when winter rolls around though. |

So far the good thing about today is that I remembered to turn on the radio in the kitchen. There's a nice old school radio on a shelf in there and shame on me--I never use it. I think I last used it in December, to hear some Christmas music. I kept telling myself it would be nice to use it ...and then I kept forgetting  But today I remembered! smilie_girl_freude And Kashmir is on the classic rock station right now.  |

Old school is good but you could also listen to the radio station above (in the link)
