You must feel so much better after cutting way back on the fried stuff!
So tonight it will be beef rouladen which I bought at the store (now I have to go look up a recipe)
Would probably be good with potatoes or perhaps noodles
Funny story (OK to me it is)…
For around six months after "my episode" people kept asking me "How do you feel?"...
A slightly older than me lady asked me that question when I was in one of my moods..."How are you feeling?" she said...
"I'm not sure, how about you feel of me and let me know?"...
Her husband, who was right behind her thought it was hilarious...
Thank goodness... Or you could answer, "with my hands". LOL

My daughter, Karen, makes the best fried chicken! Crunchy outside, moist inside. The fry pan I bought for her helps a lot. It has the enamel inside, and it is made just to fry chicken in. No chicken left over when she does it!!

Right now, I'm craving a home grown tomato sandwich...... I don't know what you put on your tomato sandwiches. But I've been craving a tomato, avocado, red onion and sprout sandwich on rye. Yum!

Sundrop That sounds yummy too! Have you ever put fresh tomatoes inside of a grilled cheese? So good.
osnafrank You can have my share of cucumbers! Not a fan. I think I'm the only one in my family who doesn't like them. My Grandma used to make a simple salad with fresh garden cukes, a little cream, S&P and I think she added a touch of vinegar as well. She would make a similar dressing for the garden lettuce too.

That was almost twenty years ago. She was so progressive and didn't even realize it.
osnafrank Are you familiar with fleischkuekle, or is it only popular with the Germans from Russia?

I'm definitely a sandwich guy, cheese is my downfall , I will literally sit and eat a block of cheese with some fresh batch bread with butter, at least it was until my doctor told me my blood pressure was through the roof and I'd have to cut back on the cheese, now I eat the reduced fat cheese.....it's just not the same

Right now, I'm craving a plain cake donut! That does sound tasty. I like the sour cream cake donuts that are glazed. Blueberry, too. Down here we have Krispy Kreme. Krispy Kreme? They are the best. Haven't saw them in Canada for a long time. Many of their shops closed. Miss those tasty donuts.

I haven't seen them around here in quite a few years either. My mom ate three of them once and could barely function afterward. We now refer to it as her "carb coma."

Krispy Kreme almost as plentiful as churches around here...
