Thanks spideyman and neesy !! Good news - on the weather report tonight, meteorologist said we are in a winter weather advisory. So it's been downgraded since yesterday. Yay! Hoping most of the system will miss us entirely. The southern and eastern part of the state to Minneapolis looks like it will get the most of it. Who knows. Seems to change every five minutes!
And Spidey, I've been trying to be more vigilant about making sure mom and I have the necessities, just in case. That's probably why we won't get the worst stuff! Lol.

We've already had more snow than predicted. Now they're saying double the original snowfall amount. Wind hasn't picked up yet, so we'll see...

I washed the car, did some grocery shopping and got some gas (was almost on empty)
We had a rare warm day yesterday.

After three nights of below freezing temps, we had a warm day briefly 80ºF, then back to the deep freeze. Went to bed early last night to make up for the "stolen" hour. Can't wait for spring! Everyone north of me, keep warm.

They closed about 200 miles of the interstate last night. The local truck stop was so packed with semis that you couldn't even drive into the parking lot I guess. Several overturned semis in the ditches. That's so scary. I wish some of those truckers would pay closer attention to the changing weather conditions on their routes. Time is money for them, but decreasing your speed and taking extra precautions can be a matter of life and death.
The snowplows are out now, so hopefully everyone will be able to get around safely by tomorrow. They are predicting another storm in a few days.
