I'll try not to be greedy with the waffles. I left some for Frank.  Looks like some sort of quiche there in the middle
In real life I just finished cooking a Shepherd's Pie using leftover meatloaf and leftover mashed potatoes
I should have some before it gets too cool.

Shepherd's Pie - we had a Feast Day fundraiser for our church on Feb 1st and served shepherd's pie for lunch and dinner. We did it the very authentic Irish way. It was good. Tonight (at home) we had chili - it was a cold, rainy day - good for chili - but we're not in the supper thread - I'll quit talking about food, lest I get up from here and start eating when I clearly don't need to.
The count is in and the soup dinner fundraiser we had last night raised $935 for Room in the Inn. WooHoo!! That will buy so much for those folks. We donate the dinners and breakfasts each time we host, but the homeless guests need so much: medications, toiletries, hand wipes, hand warmers, foot powder, gloves, combs, on and on - and it has to fit in their backpack - reading glasses, combs, nailclippers - just when you think you're well stocked, you run out or discover you're missing so many needful things. They are on my mind constantly during this cold rainy season - they need panchoes, blankets, dry shoes, a warm place to sleep. I'm stunned about the amount we raised - we only had 22 people come. Incredible. God is good.
We all have tomorrow off - sleeping in, taking it easy - hoping for a nice peaceful day. May you all have one as well. I have a mountain of laundry. Lots of vacuuming. Bathroom cleaning. And we're taking the dogs to the vet first thing - shots, check ups, nail trimming - fun stuff. But no work outside the house. Good enough for me.
I'm about to go to bed, thinking of the morning coffee. Oh - I saw a goldfinch today - hooray! I thought the red of cardinals was exciting until I saw my first goldfinch. Woodpeckers are exciting too - not as exciting as owls, though. Turtles are thrilling too. But I'm ready for bird season, flower season, kayaking weather. Go away winter.

I’m not sure what this cantina thread is for. Since I don’t know where else to post about this, I’m posting here.
My son’s band had a gig on the weekend. First this year. They are a punk band. Not exactly my style of music. They write their own stuff, but in the past I’ve heard them do some covers which I really liked too. They did Desolation Row at their first show. More Chemical Romance than Dylan.
Anyway, they haven’t performed in a while, so I was glad they got booked. Crowd seemed to love them.

Hi again! I hope everyone is having a great Taco Tuesday!! One of these days I’m going to remember to actually make tacos on a Tuesday. Anyway, thank you all to those who wished me healing vibes-they worked! I feel much better today.
