Frank, there's a great documentary series on Netflix called Bad Sport which deals with a series of different sporting scandals. Episode 4 deals with the 2006 Juventus match-fixing scandal that led to them being relegated and having their titles revoked. Well worth checking out if its available.

I've always quite liked Gladbach; they might not have the most technical players in the world, but they've got that team spirit that always means they end up near the European places. Bensebaini seems like an excellent player.
I've got a weird belief that things may be different in the Bundesliga this year. Nagalsmann, while not being at the game due to COVID, is obviously out of his depth; but, to be fair, Bayern seemed to be coming off the rails towards the end of Flick's tenure. Let's hope Dortmund can actually do something. |

Why is it so freaking difficult to qualify for the World Cup if you're a European team? Why is it that solely the top team goes through? And why are the play-off teams seeded? How come we had to beat Denmark to get a home fixture, despite the fact we already had way more points than all the other play-off teams? UEFA makes no sense.

Case in point: Italy. Why does Italy have to play a play-off? If it was up to me, the winners of the European Championship would automatically qualify.

How come we have to play multiple play-offs to get to Qatar? How come its so freaking difficult for the second placed team to get through? Why have we got to beat a previous Euro winner to QUALIFY for a world cup?!
UEFA has made a right farce of all of this.
