Was anyone else freaked out by the green sand that Flagg uses to poison Queen Sasha?
Would anyone want another book about Delain or a full novel about what happened to the characters? King has a wonderful way of making children's stories come to life; he has a gift for writing fantasy that we haven't seen much, other than the Dark Tower books. The Eyes of the Dragon is more a mix of Grimm's fairy tales and Robin Hood with dragons. This was written for his daughter, Naomi, but it can be quite scary and has its share of adult humor and violence.

I liked this book very much. I think it is a great stand alone story by itself, if you hadn't read about Flagg anywhere/when else. Different type of work for Mr. king, definitely. I'm not sure I want to equate it with Grimm's or Robin Hood though. (not as dark as classic Grimms, and much darker than Robin Hood. I think.) I remember reading that Mr. king wrote it for his daughter, didn't she ask him to write something different for her? I can't quite remember exactly what I read him saying about that or where. Was it in the introduction? It certainly can be quite scary, as you stated Doc, that green gunk FREAKED me out, man! Didn't like that at all. But, that's a something that brings the cool horror aspect we love to get a thrill from. I particularly appreciated the two princes contrasting personalities, along with their differing relationships with their parents. That was a very interesting dynamic for me. I actually used this story as a teaching tool when my child was three and I wanted him to stop using his shirt (or mine) as a napkin. Mom's AND Dad's do KNOW what I'm talking about, lol I wouldn't mind seeing a follow up novel to this one. But it's not on my list of must haves.

I understand that his daughter has a genetic disorder and she can’t interpret or something along those lines with horror. King noticed as she was not enjoying his works like joe and Owen did, so he asked what she liked and she was like fairy’s, dragons etc so he wrote a book based of those and dedicated it to her and ben strub

I just finished this book yesterday and i loved it. I agree it had so many decemt eleme ts to it then just flag amd the dark tower. Its a really solid story, for any age. I wish more people whould read it and i love how he gave it a narrator. It was like some one was reading it to me.

Bit its a solid story. I really liked it, not shure why its not more read. I think it just gets lost in the grand scheme of things
