- it has this neat little key on the top and you can open the can with the key

I think I haven't had spam in 20 years... I remember it was pretty good though.
I was planning on making wraps with chicken and stuff (saw a nice recipe) because I'm eating alone tonight, but everything is just so fricken expensive for one person. Really, €4 for a laughable portion of chicken, almost €2 for some coriander (I know I should probably grow my own herbs, but it would just waste away, I just don't use a lot of fresh things), €1,29 for one avocado, wraps are sold with at least 8 in a package which I am supposed to finish in three days after opening it... Yeah, never mind.
I don't mean to be negative though. I went with a ready-made chicken salad, which was delicous, and it already had everything in it (for just €3).

Klerekast The chicken salad sounds good. It is my favourite but never have found a recipe that is like Tim Horton's. Its delicious. Think I will make some egg salad today. Next best thing for me. Going to order a case of salmon from the Cannery on the Coast at the end of the
month. Little cheaper than the stores sell it and it is so much better.

I love sockeye salmon - was a bit disappointed recently when I bought the cheaper "pink" salmon in a can that turned out to look more like tuna - by the way - you asked in another thread what I made with the ground beef - that was February 3rd and unfortunately - I cannot remember! facepalm My lunch for tomorrow. Oh my - that is a BIG sausage (Don't know if I could eat more than one!)

Still have cut up turkey in the freezer from Christmas. So I am going to chopped some up and add sliced mushrooms and chopped onions. then make some sort of bbq gravy to add to it. Going to put it over mashed potatoes. Went to the grocery store last night and prices are up on many items since I was there 2 weeks ago. Heard on the News that Canadian grocery costs will be higher. Also said that each Canadian will be paying this year $700. more for groceries than in 2019. Oh joy

Never had it as a salad. Mostly it is served with (fried)potatoes, cured pork and the sausages in the picture above.

OSNAFRANK The salad mix for kale has dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, sliced almonds, raisins and croutons and a Poppyseed Dressing packet. I leave the cranberries out. The sausage looks very good. No place in Kelowna to get good pork farmers sausage. I used to buy it at a Farmers Market in Ontario from the Mennonites. If those are fried potatoes on the plate they are a favourite with me. Sometimes I just make a dinner out of them. Add bacon (of course, I'm Canadian) and onions too. I.m changing my mind. The heck with mashed, going to make fried potatoes tonight.

bokoebaFTerAfwUuywKb I often make lunch or dinner out of fried potatoes. I also add bacon and onions, then a fried egg on top. And a gherkin (or two) as side.

Hoping it will turn out good (got the recipe online from Chatelaine)

Sounds great Neesy. It makes me think of Chinese food. Have you ever made your own egg rolls? Super easy and they freeze well.

No - never tried that (I cheat and buy the frozen ones and heat them up in the oven) - but I do like egg rolls a lot. Do you actually fry them?

Yes, in my Deep Fryer. When they are cooled down completely I freeze them in freezer bags. When they are warmed up on a cookie sheet in the oven they crisp up like thy were just made. Haven't made them for awhile because I cannot get bean sprouts lately at any grocery store. I usually make 3 dozen at a time.
