Neesy, you need to tell Andy that if he doesn't like it he can get his galloping gourmet arse in the kitchen and fix himself whatever he wants to have. Better yet, put him online, I'LL tell him for you.
I Love You! a200 ----------I love U2
You are a girl after my own heart.
So - I decided to go out to the garage with my book - was planning to jump in the car and maybe drive to a local coffee shop to cool off and read. (This was in lieu of the nice walk).
Jeep Liberty would not start (I think I left an interior light on and did not notice).
Andy then went into White Knight mode and boosted my battery with his Durango. After that all was right between us again.
I drove to Shoppers Drug Mart which is about 5 klics away (5 km) just to make sure engine was okay. I had heard after a battery boost you should go for a bit of a run.
We ended up having a late supper of lemon pepper sole. It was also 'clean out the fridge' night. The potato salad I had made was still quite good, perhaps even better now that the flavours had blended.
There was also some homemade macaroni and cheese, plus some vegetables as well.
Not sure what we will have tonight but I'm sure we'll think of something!

That sounds pretty good.
So it turns out Andy took it as a personal affront because I decided to add grated Parmesan to the pizza.
Oy vey - now I feel like going out for a walk to walk off my frustrations.
Is it my fault that my husband who is a chef does not like pasta, Parmesan cheese or chili con carne? (Three of my favourite things).
Sorry - I should not vent on here but I was in a good mood up until he came in and ruined it for me.
Oh well - I will enjoy my pizza anyway.
He's out on the deck in the heat because he doesn't like air conditioning either.
I think Josh had the right idea. He went for a walk to the local park - that is probably what I need as well - a change of scenery and some fresh air!

Fire roasted Jalapenos are the bomb! I love those too, really I do love chili's every way you can possibly have them. I like making roasted salsas sometimes, ever tried doing that morgan? They're good. I do make homemade salsa, but have never roasted any peppers. Whenever I see it done on cooking shows, it looks like a daunting process! #TooLazy Lol

My old granny back in Scotland would agree with you. I am a great believer in good nutrition myself.
You have inspired me to go cook up some of those oats; we actually do have some in the cupboard. Normally I just eat regular oats - like the large flake ones that take about 10 minutes to cook.
I had an incident a while back where I ate the steel cut oats and believe me it was bad. Reminded me of our gas hut training in the military haha
Gas! Gas! Gas!
They would say that in the gas hut just before they put the gas pellets on the stove. Then we would have to put on our gas masks
The less processed the oats are the greater the nutritional benefit, from what I understand. Now what I want to know is if tomatoes and garlic are less potent/beneficial if they are cooked. Been meaning to look into that for sometime, just haven't gotten around to it. I know someone who has leukemia (doing very good, thank God.) and medications have affected her circulatory system. She's been eating plenty of onions and garlic (she loves them) and other things that help the heart ....etc..... According to my mom, pretty much any raw veggie that's cooked loses nutritional value. (There are probably exceptions - dunno.) And a much more economical way to ingest garlic for health reasons, is to swallow peeled cloves (or partial cloves) raw. My mom does that. Much cheaper than buying it in pills or capsules and is much more effective I guess.

neesy Yes! I remember my mom telling me cooked carrots are more nutritious than raw! And wouldn't you know that's one of the only vegetables I don't like cooked. *sigh* I like them in vegetable stir fry and that's about it.

Homemade pizza and Bush's Baked Beans tonight. Have some leftover peppers and onions from last night's chicken fajitas that I will put on my slice of pizza. No one else likes peppers or onion in my house, (bunch of weirdos! 😄) so I always cook them separate.
It is done and smells good. Hubby on nights again, so supper gets cooked early to put in his lunchbox.

Usually baguette, but whatever we have on hand suffices. Yeah...the boy is as ALMOST as much of a weirdo as I am. lol, we both like peanut butter and jalapeno sandwiches too! Cooked up some flounder (flash frozen, we're land locked here) the other night, and had plenty leftover for dinner last night. Tonight it's light and easy fare: Subway sandwiches. Just too excited to eat heavy, and not really in the mood to fix anything at home tonight.

I like to do that - we did that when traveling through the States to get to Toronto in October 2017.

She takes it for high blood pressure. Good idea about using it as preventative medicine too!

Okay - this video is just a joke (I would not eat squirrel) but after seeing what the squirrel did to my newly planted sunflowers this seems like good revenge!
Yesterday I planted about 17 sunflower seedlings - this morning I went out to check them and I see I'm now down to 16 - the sunflower sprout at the far end has been dug up and just disappeared. Well - I think something dug it up or maybe he/she just pulled the whole plant up and ate it, without hardly disturbing the soil at all.
This is called "Squirrel Melts" - poor quality video but weird
