Anyway, I think I've figured this much out:
The quote is from the killer (to himself, or some on looker....possibly) about Edith, because he's about to slay her.
I don't think you ever said that the killer did not say the original quote. lol, I'll probably look back and see that you did, with my Murphy's luck in this game. 
Still racking my brains on the name of the movie!

Oh and Fiona got on fine at the GP, put on a course of antibiotics so hopefully she'll be fine in no time

Ahhhhhh, The plot thickens! lol, that could mean a lot of nefarious and intriguing things! (......bringing up memories of Norman Bates and much more! Considering it's a dark comedy. XD!!! Or it could be the obvious, and I just got another brief mental image of Johnnie Depp and Helena Bonham Carter on Fleet Street again!
