SKMB members may remember John Hanic -- jhanic-- on the board.
I have just seen a notice of his passing on December 9, 2020. Just 7 days shy of 76 years of age.
He had been ill and in a nursing home the past year or so. A true collector of SK works.
May he be at peace. Condolences to his wife and daughter.

May he be at peace. Condolences to his wife and daughter. Oh no. He was such a treasure. Always willing to share his SK knowledge, as well as his tremendous advice on book collecting. I tagged him many times in the SK collection thread on the SKMB and greatly appreciated his amazing feedback. I knew he had been fighting hard the past few years, but was hoping things would improve.
Many prayers for his family. He was an inspirational man and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to all who loved him.

May he be at peace. Condolences to his wife and daughter. Just saw this. Sad news about John. Always liked the Stephen King collector extraordinaire and his comments. I remember when he went into the nursing home and him lamenting that he may never leave there, and the problems he was having getting internet access.

Jeremy Bulloch. He played Boba Fett in the original Star Wars.

Was jhanic the one who always put a "hello" in front of everyone of his posts? I think he's the one I'm thinking of.

That's the one. He was an avid book collector. Always there to answer any questions concerning SK books. Betts Books has been selling his collection. Seems he set it up so his collection would have "caretakers".
