Karen, and the family went to a get together at school tonight. On the way home, Karen saw a kitten on the side of the road. Guess who has a new kitten?? Poor little thing is skinny, and cries a lot right now, but she will calm down in a few days I'm sure. Karen is going to set up an appointment at the vet for her tomorrow. She looks to be about 8 to 10 weeks old. Cute little thing. I'll get Karen to take a picture of her tomorrow, so I can post it. This will make 3 cats, and 1 dog for us!! The dog is happy over the kitten, and the kitten isn't afraid of the dog either. My male cat, Tiger isn't to thrilled though! Bethy, the other female cat is like 'meh' towards the kitten. Lots of training to do again!! That was awfully nice of you to rescue this kitten and then end up keeping her - good for you! Any new name yet?
okay - just read your other posts - Kit Kat!
Do you have this chocolate bar down in the States?

She's stuck with what the kids named her. KitKat. I like it!!
Karen said she was right in front of our house by the road. She would have gotten run over if Karen hadn't picked her up, and brought her in.
Kit Kat got her first bath this morning, and she has an appointment with the vet on Friday morning. I'm sure she needs all her shots, and stuff.

Judging from the pictures she is feeling a bit sick (you can see it around the eyes) but I'm sure once she realizes she has a new warm home and with a bit of TLC and good food she will pick up.
Better check her ears for ear mites if she was outside and who knows for how long? Good thing you can get her into the vet. a020

pegasus216 Ah, what a sweetheart! I'm so glad she has a good home now.
Yesterday I took Toosje to the vet, she developed some breathing issues. Monday we are going back for X-rays, the vet suspects it might be asthma. I gave her my bathrobe because it's her favourite blanket, at least she sleeps well. (I woke her up a few times because she often falls asleep on her nose, and I was afraid it could be dangerous for her now, but cats seem to be able to do anything!)

I never knew cats could get asthma. Ihope she will be better soon.
KitKat has an eye infection. She is to little for her shots just yet. She only weighs a pound, and a half!
Vet de-wormed her, and gave her a pill for fleas. She should perk up soon maybe.

Thank goodness she's okay! Turns out she does have asthma, but at least it's not life threatening, she doesn't even need medication according to the vet. If it gets worse she might need something though, but not at this point. I bought her a tiger eye (gemstone) to sleep on, it's a good stone for breathing issues.

KitKat got in my bed today, and took a nap with me. First time she has ever done that
When I got sick Wednesday, both her, and my big Tiger cat went into my room, and wouldn not leave until I left to go to the center. They never go in my room. I really do believe that animals know when something is wrong.

Hi Dizzy. You can always start a thread. Sometimes, we have to think about a good answer, or sometimes we are busy and come back later. Just be patient.
I have always had dogs- My username Spideyman , is to honor my doxie who passed. He had a toy spidey and love it so. It squeaked , so even though his Name was GIsmor, we would say there is Spideyman.
Now I have cats. My daughter used to work for a vet and would rescue unwanted cats- those with medical needs. So I am always busy to care for them.
