It's my parent's 50th Anniversary (Golden Wedding) today, so i took a half day off.
Now i'm back at home, full of cake and Gyros.

Had to share this weird story from work yesterday. The internet cut out, but only in the middle of the library...the circ desk and the patron computers situated right behind it. The lab, offices, and card catalog computers out in the stacks were online and doing just fine.
While we were puzzling over this, the power cut out and several alarms started chirping. For a moment we worried the kids at the story hour down the hall would be frightened, but the giggling we heard soon put that fear to rest. My boss came out of the office with flashlights, but everything came back up then so after a few minutes we were back to normal. Whatever passes for "normal" on a foggy Wednesday, anyway.
Walking around later with House of the Dragon under my arm, I found no holes in the space-time continuum, no cracks in the universe, so I suppose the cause was a more mundane one...possibly the construction going on across the street. It certainly made for an interesting morning, though.
