Is there any reason we can't combine elements of the most popular ideas?
For example, a group of people in a dinner on Christmas Eve who are staring uneasily at a mysterious present? One that they ache to rip the paper off of but don't quite dare because there's an unsettling noise coming from it? ---- this is another EXCELLENT suggestion/idea, I like it too!
Yeah, I'm weird. I blame the very Halloween-esque weather we're having...
We all get inspired by all the ideas,
and every writer can incorporate whatever they want into the chapters!😊
We just don't let the story get too sprawling,
(or off track)
and we make sure every chapter 'fits'.
Whatever theme we all agree upon,
we will see what Cap docpain2 does with it,
and where he takes us! And so on with the following writers!  
Twists, turns and surprises are fine, creativity is always encouraged!
