My grandson and granddaughter have had a rough month. First their cat died, then less than a week later one of their dogs died. Both were old, and they knew it was coming, but it’s still hard. My other granddaughter (4 years old) lives on a farm. All the animals are her friends. Last week they processed one of the ducks.
Today we had a family zoom. The one granddaughter shows pictures, this is the cat we lost, here is the dog we lost. The four year old’s dad says “we lost one of our ducks last week too”. His daughter says, “He’s not LOST. He’s in the freezer!”

I was babysitting my grandson when he was about 3. He asked for an apple. I washed it, and cut it. And he broke down in tears. “Oh noooooo! You broke it.”

Princess: Thank you.

Do we not have a Dr. Who thread? Am I truly the only Whovian here? 😭
oh well….
Was talking to eight year old about art. (He’s planning to go to The Louvre.) I told him about stitching Starry Night with a TARDIS. He asked what a TARDIS is. I said it was a time machine that Dr. Who travels in. He thought for a minute, then said, “I know….It’s that blue cell phone box”.
And from now on…that is what I will call the TARDIS.

oh well….
Was talking to eight year old about art. (He’s planning to go to The Louvre.) I told him about stitching Starry Night with a TARDIS. He asked what a TARDIS is. I said it was a time machine that Dr. Who travels in. He thought for a minute, then said, “I know….It’s that blue cell phone box”.
And from now on…that is what I will call the TARDIS.
(love that "blue cell phone box" thing too, lol.😆😉)

I was FaceBook friends with a guy who did art wrote children’s books, some based on Dr. Who. His books were really cute and his art was awesome. He was invited to set up a table at a ComCon. Part way through the day Tom Baker shows up at his table. He said people were bringing this guys Dr. Who stuff to his (Baker’s) table to be autographed. So, he asked the artist if he could just sit with him and sign them there. What an awesome guy, eh? |

At about the age of 13 my Sun, and I, were watching "Superman Returns".
You know...the one Kevin Spacey is Lex Luthor in...and has that Megadon yacht
with the glass bottom?
Well, when it came time for that yacht to sink,
my sun shook his head slowly,
and straight faced as ever,
said sadly,
"Oh. Mama. They didn't use their flex seal."
Cracked me up big time.
Probably had to be there and see his face
and hear his tone of voice, to laugh as hard as I did.😂😉
