I am happy because I paid off a credit card, and closed the account today. Big weight off my shoulders. Yay - good for you pegasus216 !!
I have about $450 left to pay on a card I've had for probably 20 years. I was a victim of identity theft (again) right around my birthday in the middle of January. My card wasn't stolen, but someone got the account number and made two charges in the UK before they locked my account. I had to fill out an affidavit and everything. They still haven't reversed the charges. So I decided to h*ll with 'em - I'm going to pay off the card and close the account.

I think you should contact them and ask why the charges were not reversed - you should not have to pay off charges that were made by someone else. Good luck! I hope you get some action from the company involved.

I am happy today because I received a surprise package in the mail! A book from a board friend by an author I've never read before. What a joyous surprise and blessing.
And there's a little gopher that's made a home in my mom's yard. I absolutely adore those little guys! Not much makes me happier than a gopher sighting. I got to look at his sweet face several times today and am praying he stays safe. I think his name should be Hank.

This morning as the sun came up I drank my coffee and my rabbit friend watched me warily as he ate grass, LOL.
Could you PM your current address to me if you haven't already?

I've mentioned it before, but my love of gophers came from going to the zoo as a kid. My favorite thing was watching those little guys running free, in and out of the other animal cages.
Hank is a huge blessing to me. I saw a gopher get run over about a month ago. If I was emotionally stronger, I would've pulled over and buried him. I had a complete meltdown afterward - just lost it. I'm so sensitive and it is sometimes debilitating. I would like to think that Hank has entered my life to get me over that memory...
doccreed I sent you a PM on the SKMB a little while ago.

doccreed I sent you a PM on the SKMB a little while ago. I know what you mean about poor animals getting run down. I stopped once to carry a turtle across the road before it got squashed.
Thanks, Morgan! I'll refer back to that old message if needed.

One of my neighbours just came to the door and gave me a 5 pound bag of walnut halves for baking. Sometimes, when I bake I give them some. So they said the wanted to do something for me. I thought it was very nice of them. This sort of thing has not happened before. It's my lucky day!

I'm glad good things are coming your way! I like walnuts in my salad, not just for baking cakes and cookies.

Thanks for sharing that @alexandra ! Stories about random acts of kindness always brighten my day and give me hope for humanity.

I received a couple books from a board friend today. They will be cherished. It's always a treat to get packages!

This is sort of a happy/sad post - I'm happy that I'm going out to a cycling class but it's mainly to get away from the cranky old guy I married
Oh well - maybe he will be in a better mood once he has his tea

The birds outside are making me happy today - they're a different kind than usual - sort of chubby with sharp pointy beaks. Usually we get a lot of chickadees.
I wish I could identify these ones but it's nice to have new birds to look at.

Watching the video of SK and Joe at their Somerville event. Will post more about it tomorrow. Been an emotionally exhausting day. Hope I dream about being a part of the King family. Can you even imagine?

morgan - Hope today was better for you!! I was watching The Weather Channel and they showed the snowing happening up your way - Holy $ hi+! Stay warm, cozy and safe!
My happy for the day: Just a little while ago - our son (who moved out 6 weeks ago) stopped by for a visit. Just out of the blue. He's thinking of moving home. There was no fight or issue - he just had an opportunity and gave it a try. I'd love for him to move home. He needs us a little bit longer. And we need him.

Attachment DeletedSo today my niece got tired of her two kids screwing around with her mail every time there's a delivery and decided to teach them a lesson about being nosey. She messaged me to say that her son is still in his room and won't come out.
That's my girl.
